So i'm at college now, yay. It's really busy right now, because apparently freshmen get to party their brains out before the start of classes, the better to fill them up with new stuff. It's fun so far, kinda homesick, but they are doing a good job of keeping us moving around to prevent the worst of it.

I have to say this though. Being in a dorm with a lot of other girls is a daunting challenge. I was setting up the gamecube yesterday and someone came in and said, "Oh wow! What's that?" When I said it was a gamecube, she said "So that's a gamecube? I'd never seen one before, how neat!" So, yes, that was a bit disconcerting. We'll see how it goes. My interests are almost entirely otherworldly or technology-based and the others i've met so far are firmly rooted in fashion or phones.

To dealing with the title of the journal:
I'm currently typing from the MacBook that all freshmen get as part of being sponsored by Apple, and let me tell you, without a mouse or tablet, there is no way I'm going to be able to draw with this. So Mom, Seth and Mara, when you read this, PLEASE DON'T ERASE MY .XCFS ON THE OTHER LAPTOP! Digital art will have to wait until I am on vacation.
